Back to Dar

29/07/2011

Final day of training and of course the sun came out!

We headed back to Dar with a number of tasks to do, namely sorting out bus tickets and accommodation in Mwanza.
It's useful having William as a contact as he's able to provide lots of information about the ferry etc.

Also managed to get on the internet and sort through my emails - had a message from mum (yay :)) telling me all the sporty news.

Also my dress arrived for Claire's wedding - double yay :)

We ruled out flying to Mwanza as the price came in at $200, but headed in the taxi to book our bus tickets.
The taxi driver was really helpful taking us to the head office rather than the busy market place and helping us to get a good deal on Mohammed Trans for the next day.

In hindsight, we should probably have got the bus to Kihama and then another to Bukoba as this would probably have worked out cheaper but you live and learn.
It seemed like William was being really helpful in sorting the rest of our route for us.

The YMCA was so much nicer than the YWCA and we didn't have a powercut once!

We had an early night ready for a 4am start the following day...
