Day 9 - Last Day in Canada

I enjoyed a bit of a lie-in this morning, which felt like a luxury after all of the early morning starts. I was hoping this would clear what was becoming an ongoing issue of constant watery eyes (maybe it's the clean air?) but evidently this was still a problem, so I'm coping with looking like I'm permanently "totes emosh" about being in such a beautiful country.

After breakfast, I set off for a walk to the Bow waterfalls - apparently this was a 20 minute walk there and 20 minute walk back. I definitely didn't get lost, and it definitely did not take 20 minutes so I don't know how fast the staff member from the hostel walks but I think even a speed walker would have struggled to make that sort of time. It took me an hour, but it was worth it - however I was cutting it fine coming back meaning I didn't have as much time to browse the shops in Banff. Probably for the best as I don't exactly have room in my luggage.

Then it was time to set off for the airport. On the way I passed more examples of the dramatic scenery that is the Rocky Mountains. I've taken so many photos, but nothing does it justice than being there, driving through them. Words like imposing and intimidating are probably most apt. They really take your breath away.

Canada, it's been great. Now onto the USA.
